About Henry Willis
Background: Reared on a small family farm in Southeast Texas; we were rice farmers with a small herd of cattle. I was on horseback by age 2.
Taking care of the stock was a before and after school chore, and I raised a small herd of beef calves from my FFA project.
Served in the Navy for 22 years - first in the Hospital Corps and then as a healthcare administrator in the Medical Service Corps. After retiring, finished some additional college requirements and then worked as a civilian psychologist for 10 years.
Am a Patriot Life Benefactor of the NRA, life member of the 2nd Amendment Foundation, and life member of AzCDL. Support the Gold Rush Weekend every year and as many of local businesses as I can.
Regularly attend Town Council meetings, speaking on issues that I believe are of importance to the future of our town.
If Elected: I would like to seek out options from all citizens who live within the town limits so that I can best represent all of the people who find Wickenburg to be a great place to live. I am also interested in hearing from neighbors who depend on our Town for their goods and services.
My Primary Goal: To help develop a more deliberative Town Council that makes clear policy and sets direction for the Town staff to follow.
Specifically, I believe we need:
An Open and Transparent Government
Competitive Bidding and Better Management of Tax Dollars
Reduced Dependence on Outside Consultants
Restoration of the Wellhead Protection Program
Improved Zoning and Fair Code Enforcement
